Speakers

Declan Cahill
BSc (Hons), MSc, MBBS, FRCS (Eng), FRCS (Urol)
Declan has been a consultant prostate cancer surgeon since 2003, with extensive experience in Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy. A strong advocate for strength training, he emphasises the role of muscle in supporting recovery, resilience, and long-term health.

David Kane, PhD
David has over 20 years’ experience leading global strategy in award-winning initiatives for pharma, biotech, and health organisations. Trained as a medical scientist, he holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute and a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge.

Greg Hobden
Greg transformed his health and fitness at 50 through strength training, rebuilding muscle, protecting bone, and improving resilience. His journey demonstrates that midlife strength training is about living well, staying capable, and maintaining independence.

Phil Wilkins & Chris Timmins
Phil and Chris are the founders of HEX Fitness in Clapham, specialising in strength training for men and women over 50. Chris is an Ironman athlete and marathon runner, and Phil is a former CrossFit athlete and strength specialist. Together, they help clients build strength, resilience, and independence through coached, intelligent training.
