Like many women at this stage of life, she felt as though her body just wasn’t responding the way it used to — and it was starting to affect how she felt day to day.
The Challenge
Before working with us, Lara was dealing with a whole mix of menopause-related struggles.
She felt:
- Constantly lethargic
- Irritable and low on patience
- Unable to concentrate properly
- Disconnected from her strength — her muscles just “weren’t responding”
Exercise had become very limited. She was only managing low-level walking and felt far removed from the active life she once enjoyed.
Emotionally, it was draining. Lara knew something needed to change but wasn’t sure where to start.
Why She Nearly Didn’t Start
When Lara first saw an ad for Hex Life, she wasn’t fully convinced.
Like many women in their 50s, she questioned whether it would really work for her — especially while going through menopause.
She wasn’t looking for anything extreme, just something realistic that might help her feel better again.
So she decided to “just give it a go”.
The Turning Point
Once Lara started training, things began to shift — both physically and mentally.
She realised that consistency mattered more than intensity, and that protected time for herself was non-negotiable. Training regularly three to four times a week became part of her routine, not a chore.
She also made changes to her diet, supporting her training rather than fighting against it.
With the right structure and support, her body started responding again.
The Results
Today, Lara feels like a different person.
She’s achieved:
✅ A huge boost in energy and overall wellbeing
✅ Better focus, mood, and patience day to day
✅ Strength and confidence returning to her body
✅ A return to mountain and hill walking, not just gentle walks
Most importantly, she feels fantastic again.
Here’s how Lara puts it:
“I used to always just do low-level walking, but now I’m actually back into mountain hill walking.
That’s why today I feel fantastic.”
What This Means for You
If you’re a woman in your 50s feeling tired, irritable, weaker than you used to be, or frustrated by menopause — Lara’s story isn’t unusual.
You don’t need extreme workouts or unrealistic plans.
You need consistency, support, and a programme that works with your body, not against it.
That’s exactly what we do at Hex Life.
